I'm Kasia — Polish. I spent fourteen years as a certified childminder in Germany — the best years, but Madeira called louder than a Mörfelden morning. My partner Artur and I built Villa Kasia in Garajau with one quiet idea: give our guests the holiday we'd want ourselves. Four small studios above the Atlantic, ten minutes from old Funchal, and a guidebook full of places we go to when no one's watching.
I drive the tours — licensed by Turismo de Portugal under RNAAT 46/2023, in an electric car so we leave nothing behind but tyre marks on the levada road. Artur runs the logistics, the website, the airport pickups, and remembers which guest wants which coffee.
We speak English, German, and Polish. We answer WhatsApp ourselves. The point of all of this is small — and we'd like to keep it that way.
